The Community Housing Program (CHP) is a WA State Government program administered by the Housing Authority which allocates housing stock to Amberley House, which in turn is responsible for tenancy and property management and retains rental revenue to meet management expenses.
The CHP program includes:
- Construction of housing
- Upgrade of existing properties
- Purchase of vacant land for house construction
- Construction of purpose built accommodation
- Purchasing established houses.
Community Disability Housing Program
This program provides community managed accommodation options for people with disabilities who require support to live independently in the community.
Amberley House leases properties from the Housing Authority for tenants who have appropriate support arrangements in place to help sustain independent living. This support is funded by the Department of Health or the Disability Services Commission.
Amberley House accommodates 15 people in eight houses in Bunbury and four houses in Busselton and works in partnership with Enable, Life Without Barriers, LAMP and My Place to provide the specialised support that these tenants require
Further information about the program can be found at the CDHP program page on the Housing Authority website.
Combined Capital Bid
This program provides capital funding to purchase or construct housing for clients with special needs. These clients must be supported by a community based agency.
Amberley House has developed management agreements with South West support agencies to fulfil the objectives of this program.
Amberley House has been offering our property and tenancy management services to private landlords as an alternative to the commercial Real Estate Agents. Our comprehensive service has been taken up by owners who have an interest in the community housing sector. These arrangements have been very successful to date and mutually beneficial to all partners. If you would like to discuss this option with Amberley House please contact our office at your convenience.
